Recently, one of
my toughest
disciplines to
achieve was to
get my butt back
down to my home
gym. I kept
putting it off
saying to myself
that “I was too
busy, too tired,
too this, and
too everything”
… and then
beating myself
up about it day
in and day out,
as I just was
NOT motivated. |
|
So I thought to
myself, how can
I get up each
morning and make
it fun again?
And then I
looked down at
Buddy, my 4 year
old Maltese pup
smiling back at
me. Hmmm … “Hey
Buddy, how about
partnering up?”
... as we BOTH
really needed
the daily
exercise, and I
knew HE would
NEVER moan,
whine, complain,
or make excuses! |
|
So we set a time
to wake up,
throw on gym
wear, grab a
drink, and make
this our fun
time together
each morning
even during the
cold snowy
winter months up
here in PA. And,
I had a blast
training Buddy
on how to run on
the treadmill,
which he does
with a wag of
his tail, while
I weight train,
and then he
waits for me
while I do my
cardio! My
absolutely
perfect
discipline/reward
solution! |
|
Now, the same
“fun time” can
be set up with
our spouses,
children or
friends as the
reward for
accomplishing
our 30 minute
personal
development goal
each day … or
achieving X
number of daily
prospecting/recruiting
calls … or for
scheduling and
conducting our
Cash Flow
Classes. |
|
The idea here is
to GET
CREATIVE to KICK
START NEW DAILY
DISCIPLINES
whether we feel
like it or not
to eliminate
those dream
stealing
distractions on
TV or any other
daily excuse to
procrastinate to
tomorrow … it’s
got to stop
right here and
right now … it’s
time to
celebrate! |
